Agreement to these terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of SteamLine (the “Service”), an independent Discord application. By installing, authorising or using SteamLine, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
The Service
SteamLine identifies supported Steam Store links in Discord and creates compact cards using publicly available Store metadata. It provides slash commands, message actions and optional automatic conversion in administrator-configured server channels.
The Service is independent and is not sponsored, endorsed or operated by Discord Inc. or Valve Corporation.
Eligibility and authority
You must be permitted to use Discord under Discord’s terms and applicable law. If you install SteamLine in a server, you confirm that you have authority to do so and to configure the permissions you grant it.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use SteamLine in violation of law, Discord’s terms or applicable third-party rights;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service, its infrastructure or another person’s data;
- abuse commands, automate excessive requests, evade rate limits or disrupt the Service;
- use the Service to distribute malware, deceptive links, harassment or unlawful material;
- reverse engineer the hosted Service for a malicious purpose; or
- misrepresent SteamLine as an official Valve, Steam or Discord product.
Server administrators are responsible for selecting appropriate channels and permissions. Users remain responsible for the messages and links they submit.
Third-party services
SteamLine depends on Discord and Steam services. Your use of those services remains governed by their respective terms and privacy policies. SteamLine does not control third-party availability, Store content, pricing, reviews or external links and is not responsible for changes made by those providers.
Ownership and trademarks
SteamLine’s original code, branding and website content belong to their respective owner and are protected as applicable. These Terms do not grant you ownership of the Service.
Steam and the Steam logo are trademarks and/or registered trademarks of Valve Corporation. Discord and its marks belong to Discord Inc. Reference to either service describes compatibility and does not imply affiliation or endorsement.
Availability and changes
The Service is provided free of charge and may be modified, interrupted or discontinued at any time. Features may change to maintain security, compatibility, performance or compliance. No particular uptime, response time or continued availability is guaranteed.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, SteamLine is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of accuracy, reliability, availability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. Store information may be delayed, incomplete or incorrect; confirm important information directly on Steam before acting on it.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss, lost data, lost profits, purchases, server disruption or third-party conduct arising from use of the Service.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence where applicable.
Suspension and termination
You may stop using SteamLine at any time and server administrators may remove it from their server. Access may be limited or suspended where reasonably necessary to address abuse, security risk, legal obligations or material breaches of these Terms.
Changes to these terms
These Terms may be updated as the Service changes. The effective date will be revised when updates are published. Continued use after updated Terms take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
